The Statue of Unity is the largest statue in the world by height. This impressive, awe-inspiring landmark is twice the height of the Statue of Liberty, and took 3,000 workers to build. The character depicted, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, is honored for his work in uniting India's 562 separate states to form a single Indian Union - and all without the use of armed conflict.

Located in Khatakan Taung, this incredible gilded statue is more than a tourist attraction. The Laykyun Sekkya Standing Buddha is sacred to the local Buddhists, who venerate it as a place of worship. Around the statue are numerous seated Buddhas, bodhi trees and elaborate gardens.
